Commerce for Agents is a free remote MCP server for AI agents. Its compare-mobile-plans tool answers “what is the cheapest phone plan for my needs?” for 1 to 6 lines, ranking plans from carriers such as AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile and prepaid brands such as Mint Mobile, Visible, US Mobile and Google Fi by what they actually cost over the first year.

Is there an MCP tool for comparing US mobile phone plans?
Yes. Commerce for Agents runs a free remote MCP server at https://mcp.commerceforagents.com/mcp. Its compare-mobile-plans tool ranks a curated set of plans from the major carriers and prepaid brands by 12-month effective price per line, for 1 to 6 lines.
How is the ranking price calculated?
The 12-month average price per line: promo months at the promo price, the rest at the regular price, and annual plans divided by 12. Each result also shows the regular price, the promo length, and whether autopay is required or taxes are included.
Is it the whole market?
No. It is a curated selection, and every result says how many plans and providers it covers. Each plan has a verified date and a link to the provider's plan page; plans not re-checked within 45 days are dropped.
Does it need an API key?
No. There is no key and no account. Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP can add the URL.
